Interesting 60s inspired indie-pop debut from Chicago upstarts The Hush Sound. ‘We Intertwined’ is a bouncy effort with a damn funky piano rhythm at its heart with the whole band joining in like a hyperactive choir. In effect it’s an energetic, summery and refreshing little jig that, whilst nothing ground breaking, trundles along happily, receding only slightly into the inevitable repetitiveness. Its major shortcoming is that it lacks variety and slips into MOR territory midway through, but the chorus will, if you’re (un)lucky, worm its way into your head and plague you for days like all catchy tunes should.
